Tina Kirchner

June 2008

Michael and I met our freshman year of High School in History class. After we started hanging out and beginning to know each other more we started dating that February. Over the years of dating we spent almost every day sharing new memories together. We went to Sox games, Nascar races, Downtown Chicago, Wisconsin Dells, and to our cottage in Indiana which we go every year. Sharing these memories with him is the best thing that anyone could have asked for.

Michael finally asked me to marry him February 14th, 2008. The day started out with him buying me a bouquet of flowers that were just amazing. The bouquet was beautiful and he knew I loved flowers. I was told for Valentines Day we were going to go Downtown to Maggiano’s, which is a fancy Italian restaurant in which I love. He had already made the reservations for a private table there. There was a vase set up for my flowers on the table already as if they knew.

As we were being seated, I could tell something was different with him because he had gotten up twice and left the table and he seemed nervous as he was talking to me. Our table, by the way, was set up with our pictures on it in little heart frames. I thought that was just for Valentines Day but I was wrong. After dinner our waiter came out with my favorite dessert (Tiramisu) which had candles in it. The candles were weaved together like unity candles. As he sat it down on the table I noticed the ring weaved into the candles. Once the waiter was gone, Michael reached over, took my hand, and asked me, “Will You Marry Me?” It was the best feeling I had ever felt and I starting crying really hard which to me meant yes! The feeling I felt at that moment was a feeling I wouldn’t trade for the world.

Our wedding is planned at Lexington House for February 27th, 2009. We have a Mickey and Minnie theme, which includes a Disney cake, decorations, and the hall decorated with Mickey and Minnie. After the wedding we plan on taking a 7day Carnival Cruise, which leaves the day after the wedding. We will stay in the honeymoon suite which comes with rose petals on the bed as well as a decorated room. While in the Caribbean we also are going swimming with the dolphins and climbing Dunn’s River Falls waterfall in Jamaica.

Michael and I are very excited to begin our married life together
