Annemarie DeFazioOctober 2004Annemarie DeFazio and Sean Mulkeen met during his senior year and her sophomore year at St. Bonaventure University in New York. A mutual friend, at a party, introduced them. After a couple months of hanging out as friends, they both knew their relationship was headed for the next level. This was a huge decision considering Sean graduated that year and moved to Chicago, while Annemarie remained at college for 2 more years. They were definitely put to the long distance relationship test. The old saying “distance makes the heart grow fonder” was very true in their case. About a year and a half ago, Annemarie moved to Chicago to be with Sean and is currently employed by the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. Sean who currently owns Mulkeen Media, Inc., an Internet marketing company, was very happy to finally have Annemarie back in the same town! Sean proposed to Annemarie on March 27, 2004. They celebrated her birthday at the Molivé Restaurant. The whole time they were at dinner Annemarie noticed that Sean seemed really antsy but she had no idea what he was so anxious about. He had a horse-drawn carriage pick them up from the restaurant and take them for a ride through the city. |
Sean and Annemarie became engrossed in a conversation about saving money. Annemarie said she wanted to save up to buy a house so they could stop wasting money on renting.
