Erin WetherilleOctober 2005Bob and I met at Illinois Wesleyan University and started dating at the end of our junior year. Very early on, we both knew that our relationship was special. The friendship that we had developed then, is the foundation of our relationship now. This past Valentine’s Day will forever be embedded in my memory because it was the night that Bob proposed. We began with a quiet dinner at Navy Pier. Then, although it was a little chilly, Bob suggested we take a ride on the Ferris wheel. It was a beautiful night, and when we reached the top, while over looking the city, he got down on one knee and proposed. I quickly said, “yes” and kissed him! After the proposal I remembered that earlier in the evening I had said, “a proposal on Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be all that romantic!” Well, I was wrong. We looked at each other and began to laugh, and I realized again how perfect we are for each other. By the end of the night, we had called all of our family and friends to tell them the great news. Apparently my parents had already known because Bob had asked them for my hand in marriage. That explains why my mom was acting a little strange! We are planning to wed in June of 2006, which will include lots of friends and family! We are planning to go on our Honeymoon in the Virgin Islands, shortly after the wedding. Thank you, ChicagoStyle Weddings & House Of Brides, for making one of the hardest aspects of our wedding much easier. It is so great to know that I will have the perfect wedding dress for our day! |
