Warm weather is here and there is no better time than to enjoy the greatest city in the World, Chicago! Here is my idea of the perfect Chicago night-out…

 

Lounging

Chicago offers dazzling views. No vantage point perhaps offers a more scenic view of the north branch of the Chicago River as the lounge at Japonais in the River North neighborhood. Sip one of their specialty cocktails from the full bar and be sure to try one of the many cold sakes. Gaze as the sunsets behind the skyscrapers on a luxurious sofa draped in breezy white cloth.

 

Dining

Continue your evening with dinner at Japonais. The interior dining rooms are spectacular with European artistry set against the steely Japanese architecture. I prefer the Red Dining Room rich in its shades of Reds and Golds for a more formal dining experience. Dine on the contemporary Asian and French fusion dishes featuring fresh sushi samplings.

 

Grooving

Grab a cab and travel to Chicago’s very own Millennium Park to catch an outdoor concert. The Jay Pritzker Pavilion boasts possibly the best acoustics in the World with over a 100 speakers suspended over the 7,000-seat assembly. Sway to a variety of musical styles from Jazz to Indie Rock.

 

Sightseeing

Chicago is famous for its theater district with more and more shows premiering pre-Broadway runs here. But Chicago offers an array of shows that don’t quite fit the norm. Try “Fuerza Bruta: Look Up” at the Auditorium Theater for this 70-minute multi-media thrill-ride. Gawk at astonishing aerial and aquatic acts as you dance to pounding club beats. There’s no seating, you’re part of the show! 

 

Unwinding
